In our society many of us are aware of the benefits of regular exercise not only physically but psychologically, regular exercise can act as a mood booster and even treat mild depression. I am a self-confessed gym junkie, when I exercise regularly I feel like I can take on any challenge and success seems to be more forth coming. It is only in the last five years of living in the beautiful region of Seal Rocks that I have discovered how amazing it can be to exercise outdoors. Every weekend I see many city dwellers flock to Seal Rocks, get their joggers and bicycles out and explore our amazing area so I thought I would share one of the great tracks you can experience next time you are staying with us.
Four kilometres from the park on Seal Rocks Road on your left you will find the Mining Trail Road in the Myall Lakes National Park. You can make the trek direct from the park or drive to the carpark and take it from there. There is a 14km or 20 km option one way; I just completed the track on foot this morning and did not see another soul just plenty of wildlife. What other place on earth can you experience such an amazing environment and have it all to yourself? Breath taking is one word that comes to mind. The trail takes me on a journey of self-discovery every time I do it. Next time you are out our way make sure you bring your joggers or bicycle and immerse yourself in this gem of a trail.
