Last weekend during Splendour in the Grass we held a fundraiser BBQ here at Ferry Reserve courtesy of the fantastic people in our marketing department. It was to raise some much needed and totally appreciated funds for the wonderful people at the Brunswick Heads Surf Club.
It was a match made in heaven, the people of Splendour waking up starving after a huge night of dancing and trudging through mud at the venue and the club members selling them breakfast to raise funds for the Club.
13kg of bacon, 15 dozen eggs, 6 kilos of sausages, 200 bread rolls and 6 loaves of bread later a total of $850 was raised for the Club.
Club President Johnny was really happy with the takings over the two days and the money raised will be going towards the purchase of two new boards to take with them when they travel to other clubs for competitions.
Matt & I are really proud that we are able to help and support our local community through various fundraisers during the year and would like to also thank our marketing department for making it all possible. Be good, Stace xxx
