The final day of the Brunswick Bowls Carnival was held on Saturday 18 July 2015 (yes I know it was a couple of weeks ago, I have been slack. Sorry I haven't blogged about this until now).
There was another good turn out for the last day of play with about 60 bowlers showing up altogether to have a bowl and share some laughs. The Terrace Reserve pulled out the big guns for the day and made a valiant effort and won the day, good job to Terrace park manager Paul Parsons for leading his guys and gals to the victory for the day!
Overall over the three weeks there was approx 170 bowlers which is a great effort for everyone to show every week for a bowling good time. The overall winners for over the tournament was
Ferry Reserve by 30 points!! Good work to all of our bowlers who put in the massive effort to help us acheive the win
The winner of the main prize for the comp was Marg Thorne who was staying at Ferry Reserve over the bowls tournament weeks.
A really big thank you to permanent residents Garry Rendall from Massey Grenne and Blossom McCormack from Ferry Reserve for donating a brand spanking new trophy for the winners to enjoy their spoils with.
To everyone who is interested in joining us again next year just give one of the parks a call and we can reserve a place for you in one of the parks for next years competition. There is lots of fun to be had and lots of friends to be made and lots of belly laughs to share! All of us park managers look forward to greeting you and sharing some fun with.
