Have You Tried SUP?

09/07/2015

Originating in Hawaii, basically speaking, SUP uses a surf style board and a long paddle. SUP has many disciplines making it one of the most accessible water sports. From cruising calm waters, flat water racing, open ocean racing to Surfing big waves or even SUP yoga, the possibilities are endless.

With stand up paddling the fact that you are standing gives you the advantage of greater visibility and perception. It enables you to see the beautiful environment both around you and in the water as well as offering a better view of water conditions.

SUP has wonderful health and wellbeing benefits. It is a great way to gain some exercise while having fun on the water. It can provide a great core and leg work out through balance. While paddling utilizes your arms, back and shoulders. The intensity of the workout depends on the water conditions. An added advantage is it is very relaxing and a great way to relieve stress.
