Volunteering in the community develops skills and experience, gives back to the community, and helps to understand the community needs.
The Park Managers volunteer their time in many ways. From the Chamber of Commerce and the Love Lennox Festival, to local fundraisers and Rugby coaching, Aaron joining the volunteer RFS was another organisation where he saw they needed support.
The personal benefits of volunteering are well established and considerable. longer lives, better health and well being, greater trust and better connections with the community. Volunteering empowers individuals, helps form new relationships, builds networks, both social and professional, and makes real contributions in areas of need.
We have many volunteers from different places stay as guests regularly, and it's great to be able to share stories and support one another.
