Lakeside Festival 2015

27/10/2015

This weekend Tuncurry is hosting the annual Lakeside festival for 2015.

Chilin' under a tree in a gentle sea breeze, a glass of wine and some beautiful local food. Listening to some hot tunes with gorgeous lake views at Forster Tuncurry.

A day of great live music to suit all tastes. Caravana Sun will be the headline act, returning home from their recent 'Ashes' European tour. In support are Gypsy Swing band Up In Annie's Room, Taree locals Circus Mule, family-friendly rock band The Jay Davis Trio, soul and indie viber Roy Rose, and Port Macquarie singer songwriter Sarah Morris.

Fresh Wallis Lake Oysters will be delivered off the boat at the Lakeside Jetty and shucked on shore and available to buy fresh or with your favourite topping. World ranking fresh oysters, how spoiled we are! You can also learn about our local oyster industry and see how oysters are grown.

Wineries supporting the event include Old Inn Road Wine Bulahdelah, Faulls Ridge Wines Gloucester, Great Lakes Wines Wootton and Douglas Vale Historic Homestead and Vineyard from Port Macquarie. Also from Port Macquarie is Black Duck Brewery bringing a range of locally brewed beers.

The Bellevue Hotel will be running a full bar for those who prefer a meaner beverage.

Why not leave the car at home and catch our free shuttle bus servicing the Forster-Tuncurry area. The bus route is on the website - www.lakesidefestival.com.au.

The younger among us will have a great day at the "Look at me Photo Booth", hanging out on the jumping castle and giant slide or getting their face painted at Lakeside Kids Spot.

Admission is $10 per adult with accompanied kids under 16 free. Make it a date with friends and family, bring a chair or blanket and join us as we bask in the glory of the Great Lakes, on the stunning shores of Wallis Lake.

So come & book a site or a cabin at North Coast Holiday Parks Tuncurry Beach and enjoy the festival with all of us!
