On the road again....

Time to get away for a bit of R&R before the silly season and on only our third trip away in our van we're going to venture inland and check out some other parks in our Inland Water Holiday Parks group.  Now this is a 9 day trip in our van.  Our other 2 trips away in the van have been overnight stays.  One to our park in Coffs Harbour (which my sister-in-law and her husband manage so if we’d forgotten anything we had them as back up!) and the other to our park in Ballina, Shaws Bay, which is only 30 minutes down the road so going to a 9 day trip will be very interesting!

Usually I am the organised type and know what is in the local area, what we can do, things not to miss out on.  But prior to this trip we’ve been busy getting the park ready for all of our school holiday guests so I have done no research at all.  Luckily they have heaps of information on their website so I’ll check that out on the way there…before we lose internet reception anyway.

Our first stop is going to be Copeton Waters Holiday Park.  Our next stop will be just down the road at Lake Keepit and then our final destination within our group is Lake Burrendong.

We checked out the weather forecast for these parks last night and we’re looking at a high of 37deg.  I’ve never really camped in such high temperatures so that is going to be an experience in itself.  Hopefully our air-con unit will be faithful and continue to work during our stay.  Now many will say that we’re not really camping in our caravan with air-con but I’d like to be comfortable while enjoying some well deserved time off and if that means having air-con then so be it.

I’ll do a bit of a review of our inland parks either while we’re away or post them when we return.  No doubt there will be beautiful scenery along the way and we’re really looking forward to this adventure.  Stay tuned…hopefully we won’t have any crazy stories to tell.
