Wharf Bar & Restaurant

03/09/2015

This weeks food review.

I really believe that there is nothing better than great service, a clean and well-presented dining area and amazing food. All three were definitely provided by the Wharf Bar & Restaurant when I ate there last Sunday. That is why I have put it at the top of the list of places to eat when here in Ballina.

Now my partner and I, we just love haloumi. It would be acceptable to say that we are slightly addicted to it; this addiction has turned very serious now that we have tried the haloumi starter dish. If I hadn’t been in public I probably would’ve started to drool. This dish was absolutely perfect. The chef needs a huge pat on the back for creating such a spot on dish!

For the main, as usual, I ordered Beer Battered Fish and Chips. I really do love beer batter, and the Wharf did it well. The meal was huge, and I could not finish all of it. But of course, my partner did finish it for me, without argument. No need to complain about having to finish off a great dish.

I was really excited to find that they also offer a takeaway menu, which will come in handy when I am on my way home from work later. It will only take me 3 minutes to get there from the holiday park, the hardest part will be deciding which burger to order – they all sound so good!

So the next person who comes in asking where they should go for a great meal, I will be sending them to the Wharf. I will even pass on a voucher for a free small coffee or gelato scoop.
