Forster to Seal Rocks

The lakesway

A drive that will take around 1hour each way which takes you past some of the best beaches on the east coast as well as great landscapes.

Leaving from Forster heading south travelling through Tiona skirting both 7 mile beach and Wallis lake foreshore.Great fishing on 7 mile year round. Some brilliant sunsets can be viewed in the afternoon with small lakeside reserves available to park. Around the corner Elizabeth Beach is on your left with sheltered water and beautiful coastal views to the north. Shelly Beach is to the right of Elizabeth but is hidden by a small headland. Both beaches are very popular with locals and visitors.

Next beach to visit is Boomerang. Another stunning beach which will pick up a lot more swell.Caution needs to be taken if the swell is increasing. Can hold some great banks both north and south corners as well as midway along the beach.

Blueys is the next beach on the left. Some spectaculiar views once again by looking south this time to Seal Rocks. Also holds large swells and some great beach fishing.A couple of great cafes in the village as well as bottle shop and surf shop.

Smiths lake turn off is a short drive south.Celito beach can have fantastic waves at the right time. The Lake Entrance can also provide great waves and fishing when emptying. The lake is suitable for small boats, SUP's, fishing, water skiing. A part of Smith Lake is also a Marine Park so please look up regulations regarding usage.

A short drive south and you pass through the small village of Bungwahl. Just past Bungwahl is the turnoff to Seal Rocks. A village which is very passionate to hold on to its identity.Sealed road all the way these days. A small shop , access to a number of beaches with a real feel of relaxtion.Views to the north from both Number 1 beach or Boat beach. Views also to the south from the Sugar Loaf Point Lighthouse.

A great day drive .
