The short walk up to Neranie Head has views across Myall Lake to the south.
Starting from a carpark beside the road to Hearts Point Picnic area, mown strip crosses a clearing that was part of the old Neranie timber mill village, then up to an old local cemetery. Several graves date back to the end of the nineteenth century.
The last part to the top of the hill passes under tall blackbutts & forest Oaks to outcrops of white volcanic rock overlooking Myall Lake.
