Australia is well known for its water sports from surfing to jet skiing and canoeing. All of North Coast Holiday Parks are on or near water which offer a variety of water sports. Check out the following parks if you are a water-sports enthusiast.

Lake Ainsworth Holiday Park

North Beach Holiday Park

Just a walk down the path from your camping site is Mylestom beach for spectacular surfing and body boarding. The surf beach is also patrolled on weekends and school holidays for your families’ safety.

Urunga Heads Holiday Park

The reef off Hungry Head is a popular destination for local and travelling surfers. It can provide both left and right-handers. Also there are numerous beach breaks up the beach requiring 4WD.

Tuncurry Beach Holiday Park

There are a number of hire outlets in the local area hiring boats, canoes and paddle boards.

Forster Beach Holiday Park

Boat, canoe & paddle boards - a short walk from the park and you will find a number of hire outlets. Tiki boat shed is great and good for coffee. You will find the boat hire outlets on Breckenridge Channel directly behind Wharf Street.

Seal Rocks Holiday Park

There are several dive sites in this area, catering for all levels of diving. Some of the well known sites include two wrecks, the SS Satara at 42 metres and the SS Catterthun at 60 metres. Both of these sites are serious dives and need considerable preparation. Big and Little Seal Rocks, and the Saw Tooth are more accommodating to divers with varying interests. For a great shore dive try Poo Rock just to the right of the beach. A dive at Big Seal Rock, when the grey nurse sharks are in, is an unforgettable experience. Descending the rock wall, you will come upon a wide gutter at 21 m, which has a small cave cutting into the rock face. Usually schools of kingfish, drummer and trevally circle the gutter, while turtles, wobbegongs, stingrays and Port Jackson sharks can be seen resting on the bottom. Hazards include rips and sharks.

The immediate vicinity of Seal Rocks offers clear bays for swimming, snorkelling, boating and fishing.

Hawks Nest Beach Holiday Park
