Holiday Safety

We are excited and ready to spread the Christmas cheer as another busy and rewarding year comes to an end.

As this is a very busy time of the year, we thought we would give out some hints and tips about holiday safety for anywhere you go. While holidays are fun and exciting, it is important to remember the basics so everyone can have fun and most importantly stay safe!

Talk to your children about stranger danger- it is important when in busy areas such as resorts, shopping centres and holiday parks that you have this discussion with your children. Children should be supervised at all times and not left unattended. Always get your children to let you know where they are going and preferably go along with them. We cannot stress the importance of this enough!

Lock up your valuables- Unfortunately everywhere you go, there can be dishonest people, more so during the festive season. Make sure all valuables are locked up and secured while you are not present at your campsite or cabin and while you are sleeping. This will avoid disappointment and also reduces the risk for dishonest people to ruin your holiday.

Swimming- this is a favourite activity for every family on holidays, but it is so important to follow the rules. Always swim between the flags and always follow the pool rules as these are in place for everyone’s safety. Another important tip is to remember that children should always be supervised by a responsible adult when swimming (and it’s a fun way for mum and dad to get involved as well).

From all of the team at Mylestom Holiday Park, we hope you have a great festive season laughing
