After a few days of rain we’ve been blessed with a gorgeous day today here at Shaws Bay. The sun is shining, walkers and bike riders are out and about, a local learning to surf school is catching waves. I’m here in the office writing this blog and taking in the beautiful view (I love working with this view every day!).
It isn’t a surprise to me that guests of the park seem to always be asking me about my favourite place to get some exercise; in fact two guests today have asked me! Ballina is such a beautiful place, so much to see, and going for a walk around our beautiful town is the perfect way to fit in some daily exercise.
Without a doubt, my favourite walk is along the North Wall, conveniently close to us at Shaws Bay (we are right next to it!). I do the North Wall walk on a regular basis, I usually start at the skate park and finish at the end of the wall, and it’s the perfect length for me. Some guests like to walk the North Wall twice, gives them time to really take in the scenery.
There is a walking path for the entire length of the walk and you won’t have to cross a busy street, making it a safe option. It is also a really great spot for a bike ride. Pedestrians and riders share the walkway with ease, plenty of room for everyone!
Time to head out and enjoy this beautiful day!
