Whale Watching Cruise Forster

Sometimes you can live in an area and not fully experience the wonderful activities that are right on your door step until you have visitors in town and hit the tourist spots. We did just that today, we have visitors in town from Western Australia and thought what a wonderful way to spend a sunny Sunday in the great lakes than aboard the Amaroo Whale and Dolphin watching cruise that sales out of Forster.

The Amaroo is only one year old, an amazing ship, it is actually rated the number one tourist attraction in Forster on Trip Advisor and we found out why today.

The cruise was two and a half hours long with morning tea included.

Five miles off shore within minutes we were surrounded by at least nine whales and spent the next hour and a half with them. To say it was amazing does not do the experience justice, there is no way I thought we would get so close you could almost touch them!! We were also lucky to get a pod of dolphins on the way home.

Whale season in our region is from July to November.

Do yourself a favour!!!
